As part of the «City of Industrial Professions» festival, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the «House of Metallurgists» pavilion of the Kazakhmys Group.

Yersultan Shakar, a future mineral processing specialist and student at the Kazakhmys Polytechnic College, presented to the Head of State the stages of copper production from crushing and concentration to smelting and electrolysis. The processes were demonstrated using training equipment.

Yersultan Shakar is currently in his third year of study in the Mineral Processing program and, upon graduation, is guaranteed employment at a Kazakhmys enterprise.

The «City of Industrial Professions» festival is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national companies and major enterprises. It marks the first large-scale event held as part of the Year of Industrial Professions, proclaimed by the President.
