Exceptional kids sorely needed this center. The corporation provided funds required for the premises repair, equipment purchase, and for training and qualification upgrading of medical personnel. Rehabilitation therapy will be provided to disabled children (below the age of 18) living in regions where Kazakhmys operates, regardless of where their parents work.  Disabled children above the age of 18, whose parents work at Kazakhmys enterprises will also undergo rehabilitation in this center. Rehabilitation costs are covered by Kazakhmys Corporation. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the city akimat, the head of the health department for the Zhezkazgan region Lyazzat Ranova, the management of the Corporation and the media. Vladimir Motorykin, director of the medical center, demonstrated the work of modern equipment produced in the countries of near and far abroad, including the rehabilitation simulator MOTOmed (Germany), the verticalizer, the "Kangaroo" mobile device, the neuro-orthopedic rehabilitation pneumatic suit for children with musculoskeletal disorders , correction rooms, a new generation computed tomography scanner and other types of equipment.  He also informed the center was staffed by qualified personnel. By the aid of Kazakhmys Corporation, children with special needs from these regions can undergo rehabilitation courses they need.
