In 2020, a mother of a ‘special child’ has established Sunny Kids Social Fund which united the parents of 115 children of Karaganda region. The fund had no premises, so the parents asked Kazakhmys for support. - Kazakhmys management responded to our appeal and gave us a valuable support, said Aniya Muratova, Fund manager when opening the Center, – the Company bought the premises, renovated them and fully equipped with furniture and equipment. Kazakhmys will also cover the Center’s taxes, utility payments and other expenses. We were free to choose colors for walls painting, furniture and rehabilitation equipment; they are similar to the ones we saw in other rehabilitation and therapy centers. The Center will house a speech therapist and special-needs experts’ offices, a physical therapy room, a massage room, a playroom and a music room. Master classes, sports and creative events will be held there. Selection of specialists is underway. In addition, Kazakhmys provides the Fund’s children with free treatment sessions in the Children’s Rehabilitation Department of Zhezkagan Healthcare Center which was also established with Kazakhmys support. Ten kids from Karaganda have already been there. - We hope that parents who are still not members of our foundation, will learn about us and join us. It is a matter of fact that when you communicate with other parents of special children, you receive mental support.
