Understanding the need for social support of people during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kazakhmys Corporation assumed the responsibility to provide lump sum financial aid in the amount of 30 000 tenges to certain categories of vulnerable social groups of the cities of Zhezkazgan, Satpayev, and Balkhash (disabled children, children from large and low-income families, disabled and retired persons, some categories of public sector employees with severe needs) according to the lists provided by local executive bodies.  The aid was also provided to certain low-income categories of the company's retirees and non-working industrial invalids of the enterprises of Kazakhmys Corporation. The social support from Kazakhmys Corporation was provided to approximately 8000 people.
