On the eve of Metallurgist Day, a series of ceremonial events were held to present state and industry awards to employees of the Kazakhmys Group of Companies. The most distinguished representatives of the production sector were recognized for their dedication, professionalism and significant contribution to the development of the mining and metallurgical industry.

In Zhezkazgan, the award ceremony took place with the participation of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who presented state honors on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Additional awards were conferred by the Board of Directors of Kazakhmys Holding LLP, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP Nurakhmet Nuriyev, General Director of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP Zhanibek Baigabelov, as well as by regional and municipal Governors, the Amanat Party and trade unions.
