The commission consisting of the directorate, the management of the corporation and the Production Association "Karagandatsvetmet" inspected the production workshops, visited sites with ore warehouses, surface facilities: a tailings pond and an evaporator pond. The stages of preparation and implementation of the upcoming technological tests at the factory for processing copper-zinc ore from the Abyz deposit with an increase in the quality of zinc concentrate are considered. The Commission decided to audit and assess the technical condition of the equipment in the zinc-pyrithione and zinc ore processing cycles, to test the flotation conversion according to the full technological scheme with the production of three commodity concentrates. In May of this year, with the consulting and technical support of specialists from Novomek Engineering and Kazhydromed, industrial tests of processing copper-zinc ore from the Abyz deposit will begin. After the tests, specialists will prepare a report with recommendations and technical and economic calculations in order to determine and introduce a new technological scheme of enrichment into production. An important role in improving the quality of the technological process of processing and enrichment is played by the quality of incoming water to the grinding and flotation departments, as well as the quality of recycled water in filtration and flushing processes. In this connection, the management decided to increase the consumption of clean water from the Sredne-Tavdinsky water intake to the required 5,400 m3 per day. The relevant services were instructed to develop measures for the registration of permits and the organization of preparatory work for the renovation of pipelines. As a result of the visit to the Karagailinsky production site by the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Technical Director of the company, plans and measures for the implementation of the production tasks set for the factory management and structural divisions of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP to improve the enrichment work were determined.
