- I have been into sports since a young age - I played football, loved boxing, armwrestling, kettlebell lifting, sambo. This time the Championship was held among masters of sports from May 14 to 17 in the Turkestan region. Currently, in addition to other sports achievements, I have the title of a two-time champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan and two-time medalist of the Championship of Kazakhstan among masters of sports. I have been participating in sports competitions of the city, regional and republican levels since 1980. For many years I have been a part of the Zhezkazgan copper smelter team. And when I started working at the Zhezkazgan plant, I played for the company team. I was a football champion of Kazakhmys corporation. We often hold interdepartmental sports events - this allows us to keep fit and conduct training before big competitions. This year, the training coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, as a Muslim believer, I kept fasting, and intensively prepared for the competition and, as you can see, I won. It can be difficult to combine work, training and sporting events at times, but I try. Of course, the management of our enterprises gives me great support. I would like to express special gratitude to the management of Zhezkazgan factories No. 1,2,3, represented by Murat Buribayev, the director. Financial support is provided by the Kazakhmys Corporation Youth Union and the KasipKorgan trade union. Today I work in the main building No. 1 of Zhezkazgan plant – as a repairman. Our team is friendly and close-knit. This year I hit 63. But, regardless of my age, I am still full of plans for the future. I want to get more victories to bring fame to our Zhezkazgan region.
