The Kazakhmys Corporation continues to provide comprehensive support to the families of the miners who lost their lives, in accordance with its obligations under the Collective Agreement between the company and trade union organizations.

Financial Assistance

·  Each family has received compensation equivalent to ten annual salaries of the deceased employee.

·  Earlier, a lump sum of 550 MCI (monthly calculation indices) was allocated to cover funeral expenses.

·  Additionally, the life insurance company «KM Life» Life insurance JSC has paid each family 100 MCI.

Additional Support Measures

The company is also considering further assistance options, including:

·  Improvement of housing conditions for the families;

·  Educational support for children of the deceased miners;

·  Employment opportunities for family members;

·  Debt relief and other forms of social assistance.

Commemorative Events

On 27 February, memorial meals were held at all production sites and enterprises of Kazakhmys LLP to honor the memory of the miners who perished.
