Kazakhmys Group temporarily suspends operations at high-risk sites and strengthens sfety measures across all facilities
In response to a recent increase in workplace accidents at its production sites, the management of Kazakhmys Group has decided to suspend all high-risk technological processes according to approved schedules, effective immediately.
During the suspension period, a comprehensive inspection of all operations will be conducted to ensure full compliance with safety regulations. Work will resume only after all identified safety violations have been rectified.
As part of a broader initiative to enhance industrial safety, Kazakhmys will carry out an unscheduled audit of all company production facilities, as well as a re-certification of engineering and technical personnel and underground workplaces. In addition, a special commission will assess the readiness of rescue equipment, employee knowledge of industrial safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
This measure is aimed at safeguarding the health and lives of employees, the company’s highest priority.
Furthermore, unscheduled training exercises are currently being held across all production sites to rehearse emergency response actions and improve preparedness for potential incidents.
Kazakhmys Group recognizes its responsibility to its employees and their families. The company is fully committed to preventing workplace accidents and ensuring the highest possible standards of occupational safety.
