As part of the implementation of the Memorandum between the Health Department of the Karaganda Region and the Kazakhmys Corporation on joint measures to combat coronavirus in the cities of deployment, the first batch of medical equipment has been delivered today, namely, oxygen concentrators for the central hospital in Balkhash in the amount of 50 pieces. Reliable, small-sized, energy-saving and easy-to-use concentrators are capable of producing each up to 5 liters of oxygen per minute with a concentration of more than 90% for supply to the patient's respiratory tract. A batch of 150 oxygen concentrators is on its way to hospitals in Zhezkazgan and Satpayev. Also, by the end of the month, delivery of 1000 concentrators to hospitals of the Karaganda region is expected. In the next month, Kazakhmys will deliver artificial lung ventilation devices, one vibroacoustic device, each to the cities of deployment, in addition, it is planned to install a distribution system for medical gases and other medical devices for the treatment of city residents.
