Many traditions and customs are associated with the holiday. The current pandemic has made its own adjustments to events, but the desire to create a joyful spring mood always remains. During Nauryz, entrances and premises of the key production enterprises of the Kazakhmys Group were decorated with national and festive decorations. In canteens on March 22, the day of the holiday, in addition to the main menu, employees were offered national dishes: shubat, kymyz, shelpek-bauyrsak, irimshik-kurt and, of course, Nauryz-kozhe, consisting of seven ingredients that symbolize the seven elements of life: water, meat, salt, fat, flour, milk and cereals (rice, corn or wheat). Traditionally, celebration of Nauryz is full of fun, games and other amusements. In compliance with all sanitary measures, employees took part in sports events: arm wrestling, asyk atu and arkan tartu. At the same time, females are able to take part in a “Kazakmys Aruy” contest on March 26 conducted jointly with “Jastar Bolashaq”, Youth Union of Employees NGO, Kazakhmys Corporation LLC.  The Kazakhmys Group is a multinational company that unites people of different ages, traditions and faiths. Due to the joint celebration of Nauryz, the company's employees become closer, sharing positive emotions and wishing each other joy, health, prosperity and family well-being.
