The Kengir reservoir for cleaning was not chosen by chance – it is one of the favorite places of family recreation of citizens. The environmental campaign was held at once on three sections of the reservoir most consecrated for swimming and recreation: beach areas near the Metallurg stadium, the Kengir dispensary and the coast from the Eternal Flame to the intersection of Alashakhan Ave. and Zhenis St. The cleaning was carried out in compliance with all quarantine measures. From Kazakhmys Holding LLP, 250 employees took part in the large-scale cleaning of the Kengir reservoir. The company also provided 6 units of special equipment, disposable masks, gloves, garbage bags and bottled water for cleaning. This action was aimed at civil and patriotic education of residents of the city to ensure order and sanitary standards on the bank of the Kengir reservoir.
