Nurbolat Nagiyev was born in 1985 in Zhezkazgan, graduated from school No. 5, and from 2002 to 2007 studied at А.О. Baikonurov Zhezkazgan University in the specialty “underground mining of mineral deposits.” He chose this profession because he dreamed of becoming an engineer. At school, he liked mathematics, liked to do mathematical calculations, and got excellent grades in this subject. In 2007, after graduating from ZhezU, Nurbolat was employed by the corporation as a mine foreman of the sinking section No. 7 of mine No. 45 of the South Zhezkazgan mine. He worked for some time at this section, having seen in practice the entire process chain of mining, mine workings, and holing. After that, with the agreement of the mine management, he was sent to the production unit. Nurbolat says that before becoming the mine director, he had to come a difficult way: all stages of career development starting from a mine foreman. Nurbolat was a deputy head of the section, technical manager, head of the section, and chief engineer of the mine. In 2011, Nagiyev became the mine manager and worked in this position for 7 years - he managed mines No 45, 65, and 67. Since July 2019, he has been working as the director of the South Zhezkazgan mine. He is very proud of the it and its giant mines. Together with the wife, who works as an engineer in Tranko LLP, he brings up four daughters who are excellent pupils and athletes. Nurbolat also visits his parents: his mother is a pensioner, his father works at the Zhezkazgan copper smelting plant and will soon retire as well.
