"Dear colleagues, employees of Kazakhmys Group! This year that will soon be over has been a year of serious trials and tribulations for all of Kazakhstani businesses as well as for the country as a whole. But all of these hardships have only helped us all, one more time, to feel even better our unity, mutual support and concern about each and every one of us. Looking back at this year’s results, I would like to thank our miners, metal workers, concentration personnel, and all employees of the Group for their hard work in the harsh pandemic environment. Together we have succeeded in achieving our production targets and, none the less important, preserve the health and wellbeing of our personnel.  We understand that every success story has a specific name behind it. Each and every Kazakhmys employee is a key asset for our company. Being aware of the social responsibility that Kazakhmys has to bear, our company provided financial support several times during the year – two times each employee was granted financial aid of KZT 100,000, in spring a raise in wages was instituted. By the upcoming Independence Day, the year-end bonus, the so-called Thirteenth Salary will be paid out to personnel. In the meanwhile we have analysed the cost of the consumer (market) basket, reviewed inflation processes and based on that decided to raise wages, as a 1st phase starting from January 1, 2021 to all personnel categories by an average of 8.3%, and then as a 2nd phase an extra raise in wages will be assessed before June 1 based on the results of monitoring and analysis. I have no doubt that together we will successfully live through the hard times. Let me wish health, bright outlook and positive thinking to you all.
