Six Participants of "JasSkills Kazakhmys 2025” Awarded Training Grants
The III Regional Championship «JasSkills Kazakhmys 2025» concluded in Balkhash, with 182 ninth-grade students from schools in Balkhash and the Aktogay district participating.
A total of 43 students advanced to the final round, showcasing their skills across six disciplines: welding, electrical installation, mechanical repair, metallurgy, foundry and ore beneficiation. The competition provided students with a deeper understanding of vocational professions and represented an important step toward making informed decisions regarding their future careers.
Of the finalists, 18 students secured prize-winning positions, receiving diplomas and monetary awards. The winners in each of the six competencies were additionally awarded grants for professional education. These include:

· Imanаli Zhartybay, School-Lyceum No. 15
· Аmirаli Amanzholov, School No. 2
· Yerasyl Kuanish, School No. 16
· Matvey Kuznetsov, School No. 1
The grant recipients will pursue professional training at the Kazakhmys Corporation Polytechnic College, with guaranteed employment within the company upon graduation.
In parallel with the championship, a «Festival of Vocational Professions» was held under the auspices of the Year of Vocational Professions, declared by the President of Kazakhstan. Participants were able to observe firsthand the operation of modern equipment employed at Kazakhmys production sites. Students and alumni of the Polytechnic College also shared insights about their professions and career prospects within the corporation.
