Quality policy and objective of Quality Development Department of Kazakhmys Corporation LLC

Kazakhmys is a vertically integrated holding company with key assets concentrated in mining and non-ferrous metallurgy. Kazakhmys Corporation LLC is one of the enterprises of Kazakhmys Group with three production sites (Balkhash, Zhezkazgan, Karaganda) with integrated production, conducts searching, exploration, mining, preparation and processing of copper.

Quality Development Department is a structural subdivision of Kazakhmys Corporation LLC providing the initiation of the new projects aimed at improving the quality control processes; implementation of quality management system, methodology, normative and technical documentation actualization to comply with existing norms and requirements of manufactured products. This is an important condition to support and successfully develop business processes in structural subdivisions of the company.

Goal – improvement of the existing metal accounting in compliance with international standards and world’s best practices in tight cooperation with the production units of the company.

Objective – realization of the approved Quality Development Department Strategy.

To achieve the set goals and objectives, Quality Development Department follows the principles:

1. leadership and responsibility of top management ;

2. care and labor safety of the employees of Quality Development Department;

3. mutually beneficial cooperation with all the structural subdivisions of the company based on trust;

4. engagement of employees into the processes of continuous improvement of Quality Development Department activities;

5. intolerance to corruption;

6. continuous improvement of suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the implemented systems in accordance with international standards and practices;

Top management of Quality Development Department takes accountability and obligation for the realization of Quality policy and objectives.
